Airtel Kenya To Sell Apple iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus From 14th November 2014

Screen Shot 2014-10-31 at 11.17.39 AMFinally, all Apple ‘Fanbois’ and ‘Fangurls’ in Kenya can buy the much anticipated and highly sought after iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from Airtel from the 14th November 2014. The latest edition of the iPhone has been a massive global success having sold 10 million units within a month from launch and Apple being unable to keep up with demand for the most part.

No pricing information has been revealed yet by Airtel for Kenya but iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones are already available in the grey market in for anywhere from Kes. 85,000.00 to Kes. 160,000.00 depending on the specification you choose. It will therefore be interesting to see how much Airtel will offer the latest and greatest iPhone (ever?) for in Kenya.

Whatever the case, its an exciting moment for Airtel subscribers in Kenya as no doubt they will have the iPhones locked to their network so as to maximize revenues from high data usage. It will also be interesting to see if Airtel will offer payment plans for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus so as to make it more accessible to their subscribers due to the high cost involved in buying them on a ‘one-off’ basis.
