[Video] Interview with Arnaud Lefevbre of Infinix Mobile At Their Kenya Launch

Infinix Mobile is a new mobile brand in Kenya that was launched in November 2013, somewhat quietly. Indeed, they do have quite a few signboards in Nairobi’s CBD promoting their flagship Alpha Android smartphone (ala phablet) which features some pretty impressive specifications at a competitive price of Kes. 28,080.00. The Infinix brand is being distributed in Kenya by Redington who are a leading distributor of all kinds of electronics and technology products.

Infinix Mobile is actually owned by the Tecno Group who have been aggressive pushing entry-level to mid-range Android smartphones in Kenya for the better part of the past couple of years (the most impressive being the dual SIM Phantom A which I reviewed here a few months back). However, Infinix Mobile as one of their brands fills a higher-end slot of the marketplace currently occupied by the likes of LG, Samsung and Sony. I should be getting my hands on the Infinix Alpha soon so look out for an extensive Christmas time review on the same. Meanwhile, to get the full story on Infinix and their Android smartphone offerings in Kenya, check out the video interview I had with Arnaud Lefevbre at their launch late last month in Nairobi as below:
