[WordCamp Kenya Presentation] Responsive Web Design, Native Mobile Websites & Mobile Apps using WordPress

Increasingly, Internet users globally are using mobile devices as the default mode of going online. In this respect, web sites and blogs need to take into consideration that the web is more often than not mobile and there is a raging debate on how to best tackle this approach using responsive web design, native mobile web sites and mobile apps. This presentation which I gave earlier today at WordCamp Kenya 2012 looks at how WordPress Bloggers and Businesses can take advantage of all of these approaches to reach mobile users effectively and efficiently on a global basis. Enjoy! 🙂

As an example take a look at a local responsive solution at http://eatin.co.ke the core of the solution works on feature phones aswell http://m.eatin.co.ke – and it even gracefully degrates if your feature phone does not support javascript (= it still works). But some more testing is required on the “outer shell”.

    Hey Mos.
Been blogging and if i was asked to say something about wordpress, i would say nothing comes close to it. There are other CMS platforms out there but the best and easiest to use is wordpress. Also backed up by thousands of plugins that no other platform has provided makes it user friendly.
    Thanks for sharing this Moses.
    Cheers
