Very captivating. Nice and interesting. I like it
your zuku service currently sucks, no customer service at all . no idea for customer promise.
ZUKU is fooling and cheating Kenyans by this half price thing they are offering. They know that in about 3 weeks Kenya will
be connected to 2 undersea fiber optic cables, Seacom&Teams. This will reduce costs by upto 10 times. Currently ISPs in Kenya pay
6000$ duplex for capacity because they use satellite but now they will be paying 600$ duplex for even better capacity. So by
ZUKU charging 5000/= for the 1Mbps megasurf product is very expensive, I bet some ISPs will charge 2500/= for the same
in 3 weeks time. They just want to hook Kenyans paying 5000/= for 6 months for a service which will be 2500/=, do not be
fooled and rush to pay and sign stuff, wait, that is still too expensive. KDN manager Kai Wulff said in the May 15 Business Daily
that their Butterfly wireless service will be free when they start using the undersea cables. Butterfly wifi was charging 2800/= monthly
for unlimited use but it will now be free, it tells you how cheap stuff should be. Safaricom are also cheating and fooling people claiming they have an offer for their 3G
service. It is not a limited offer, it is a forever price reduction. Even that 3G modem will be much cheaper than 4000/= very soon.
There will be too much competition and cheap and free internet. So do not buy any service, modems and shit for now. Things are
even going to get cheaper and free in 3 weeks time. Buy nothing for now.
Thanks, Kelvin for these highlights!
cheers!
I would like to add a few words on their service.
I am writing this out of pure frustration ad my day has been completely wasted.
You get disconnected without any warning i.e. no email or invoice and If you are disconnected on Saturday or Friday evening you have no chance of reconnection before Monday.
Yes payment should be done promptly, but if you are subscribed with them for the past 6-8 months and payments have been on time, why pull the plug without any warning ?
Their website has no contact us details where you can enquire about your account or email them if required.
Honestly today I regret ever subscribing with them as they are only interested in your money.
Today is Kenyatta Day and I had hoped to update all my sites but it has been a total waste of time.
AAAGGGH !!
We need internet service providers who are competitive, efficient and willing to listen to you.
zuku are are fleecing subscribers by giving us stolen bandwidth. ever since i subscribed to them six months ago, not a week has passed since i have to call them complaining of dead speeds or net outages. i intend to make some noise!!
and that tvc is perfect – the guy talking is zuku and the rest are the subscribers. zuku needs a slap just like that one so we can get “thrown out” to a better ISP.
i wonder if “z” in their name should be replaced by an “*” so it reads *UK-U. that’s how frustrated i am.
In response to the ad in papers, I decided to call the Customer Care for more information. The lady at the other end did not know the difference between ‘upload’ and ‘download’. She insisted the speeds, both ‘up’ and ‘down’ were same (LoL). With such incompetent people in ‘Customer Care’ it does much for us to imagine the service!!!!!!!!
I currently have 512kbps and am going to upgrade to 1mb hoping that speeds will increase. there are times when the speeds are so low, i rather surf on my mobile phone using the zain internet. Are they trying to bullsh*t us? the csutomer service has no idea how small problems can be fixed. Outrageous!
Goodness!..thanks for the heads up guys!..I was actually going to get that Zuku connection this week. I still had my reservations though..when a deal is too good..don’t think twice..RUN!!!..
Anyone used the Tangerine connection?
Hey guys,Ive been on the access kenya residential package n Id give it 9/10 they have 24 hrs customer care n everything but their rates…..yeah so I wanted to switch to zuku thank God I stumbled into this, guess cheap z damn frustratin, wat bout tangerine?anybody with this guys,I mean theyve got a 700 bob per month package n im curious……..
i am glad i didn’t sign up when this stupid offer came up. But why do they cheat people like this?? i almost got it but i settled for butterfly and there no complains.
zuku r B@st…ds . i dont think so they have a clock as they are never upto time. when u pay them they say u will be connected in the next half hour but u r not even activated for the next day. i ahte zuku and their customer service sucks at large as tey even cut our phones……zuku u need serious HELP…
zuku your services are very poor, plse try to improve cauz you will loose alot customers since your internet is down and the tv is always off, we pay alot of money to get your perfect network. Am even planning to save for stv, they are well organised. DO something otherwise, i quit! no african magic why?
I signed up on Monday, and so far so good with internet. except that they promised that I will have BET and VH1, but non of these are showing. Compared to Africa online, i”m saving a lot. I hope the internet stays like this.
Zuku cable tv customer care is never reachable . It always says operators are busy. You try to call Zuku customer care number any time day or night same happens. and more over they had removed so many channel from the list and try to show maximum of free channels. Earlier previous management “Mitsumi cable Vision” had good support and very nice channels. unfortunately there no other serious cable tv provider. Even SK cable vision is similar story.
