AI Isn’t Coming for Your Marketing Job — It’s Coming for the Parts You Shouldn’t Be Doing! Free Webinar on 16th September 2026
Free live webinar with Moringa School, Wednesday 16th September 2026 from 6:30pm (EAT) Register here
Using AI is no longer a marketing advantage. It’s the basics. Kenya has the highest AI adoption rate on earth — 97.5% of us used an AI tool last month — which means your competitors, your juniors and the marketing agency down the road are all using the same AI tools you are. When everyone has the same tools, having the tools is no longer an advantage for anyone in marketing.
So, the only question that matters now is this:
In a market where everyone has AI, what actually gives you an advantage when it comes to marketing?
That is exactly what I am going to break down, live and for free, on Wednesday the 16th of September 2026 in a webinar with Moringa School called The Marketer’s AI Reckoning. It is also a taste of the second cohort of our co-created Digital Marketing with AI course, which starts on the 28th September 2026 — and both are filling up, so this is me telling you now while there is still time to register!
Adoption Is Not the Same As Advantage
The reality is that we have spent three years or so learning to use AI for marketing. We are now in the phase where using it is simply assumed — and the real question becomes what you can do that the AI cannot, and what you can do with the AI that others cannot. The gap between adoption and advantage is where everything changes.

Where the Advantage Matters
When I ran the first Marketing with AI cohort last month, the single most valuable idea in the room was not a tool or a prompt. It was a distinction: AI is extraordinarily good at synthesising data you give it, and genuinely unreliable as a source of facts about the world. Confuse the two and it will invent a market size, a statistic, a competitor’s pricing, with total confidence, and you will carry that fabrication into a client meeting.
Marketers who understand that distinction use AI completely differently from those who do not. They feed it their own anonymized customer data, their own reviews, their own performance numbers, and let it do the synthesis a human would take a full day or even a week to do properly. Then they apply the judgement the AI model does not have. That is advantage. Not the tool. The way of working around the tool.
AI can accelerate research, but it cannot decide which audience is worth winning. It can generate forty marketing campaign concepts in ten minutes, but it cannot tell you which one your brand can truly own. It can draft in your voice, but it cannot decide what your brand should stand for. As AI makes marketing content production inexpensive and abundant, the scarce, valuable, important skills move upward, into strategy, judgement, taste, and a compelling point of view.
One of my favourite lines in the current AI era that I coined is ‘don’t give a human a robot’s job’. The jobs AI takes are mostly the ones we should not be doing anyway. What is left, the part that actually needs a human, is the part that was always the real marketing work in this context.
Marketing Skills Matter More Than Ever Before
Lots of people are saying that marketing fundamentals don’t matter anymore thanks to AI and that positioning, segmentation and brand strategy are obsolete since you can now just prompt your way to good marketing strategy and outcomes. Nothing could be further from the truth.
A weak marketing campaign brief produces a weak output, no matter how good the AI model actually is. Garbage in will always be garbage out. The marketers winning with AI are the ones who already know their customer, their positioning and their objective — because they can direct the AI with precision and context.
AI does not replace marketing fundamentals. It amplifies whoever already has them. If you are a good marketer, AI makes you a great one. If you are not, it exposes you faster than anything before it.

The Webinar Is The Starter. The Course Is the Full Buffet!
The 16th September webinar is free, and it will ask the questions. The course is where you build the answers.
At the end of August 2026 we finished the first cohort of Digital Marketing with AI with Moringa School, and it went really well. It is a six-session, four-week programme built on one principle: marketing first, AI as the amplifier. No coding, no AI background needed — if you know a couple of digital marketing channels and everyday AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or ChatGPT, you can keep up.
Roughly seventy per cent of every session is you doing real marketing with AI work, not me talking at you. Over four weeks you walk away with an evidence-based customer persona, a brand voice profile, an answer-first web page, a working landing page you build without writing any code, your own custom AI assistant, and a full campaign you can take straight back to your brand or your clients.
Cohort 2 starts on the 28th of September 2026 — Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, fully online. Registration is open now, and it is filling up.

So here is where I will leave it. Come to the free webinar on the 16th September 2026 — bring your hardest questions about AI and marketing. Then, if you are ready to go all the way, join the course starting the 28th September 2026. Because the marketers who think clearly about this now will be the ones holding the advantage when “using AI” is no longer worth talking about.
Two weeks. Two dates. Both links are above. See you on Wednesday the 16th September 2026.
