The Apps 4 Africa Competition.

I just found out about a new initiative called “Apps 4 Africa” that was launched on the 1st July 2010 here in Nairobi, Kenya by the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Judith McHale. Apps 4 Africa is a regional competition that seeks to harness the power of African software developers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda and leverage the power of digital technology to improve the lives of ordinary people in East Africa and worldwide. The competition runs until the 31st August 2010. Apps 4 Africa is being sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
