VirtualCity launches HewaniLife, Kenya’s first “local” mobile app store.
Earlier this afternoon I attended VirtualCity’s launch of HewaniLife which is arguably Kenya’s first “local” mobile apps store and features over 400 mobile apps for download. The event which is focused on all things WordPress was well attended with over 100 participants, mostly from Nairobi. Apple launches iTunes App Store in more African countries.
A few days ago, Apple launched its iTunes App Store in 33 new countries globally that include Nigeria, Tanzania, Algeria and Ghana in Africa. These countries join Botswana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, Tunisia, South Africa, Egypt and Uganda who already have their own versions of Apple’s iTunes App
