Just stumbled on this great posting about the 10 richest people of all time. Looking at what some of these guys would have been worth today, Bill Gates at Microsoft isn’t even in their league yet! The guy above, John D Rockefeller would have been worth around US$ 318.3 billion in today’s dollar terms – thats alot of mullah!     Asaf Jah story. India did not invade and annexxe Hyderabad; it is a city and state in India! The Nizam wanted to be its own country; pretty much like how Quebec at times wants to leave Canada.

    Interesting. But I’m sure the majority of the peoples of the world do not need, and neither do they crave, for this kind of riches. Here in Africa, perhaps our politicians do. And they do their best to steal it.

    What’s the point of so much money. Those guys you listed above are all dead; their money can’t help them now. Better to try to do some good in the world than become really rich.
